Mosquitoes and people

Right now, at this very moment as i'm typing this line, there are mosquitoes flying around my legs, under my desk, waiting for their chance to strike. I hate it. Is it only my area, or are u guys affected as well. Think its due to the rainy/monsoon season. Wait, thinking about it, whose invading whose area now, considering that mosquitoes already exist in the times of dinosaurs. Hmmmm...
As some of you know, I'm a sceptical person. And I think lowly of human-beings. I tried to think back and reason why I'm like this.

And this is what I can remember.

When I was in primary 2, there was a book fair in my school. Not sure if its like that now but in the past, the school would arrange for bookstore/retailers to come to sch, to sell books at cheaper price to the students as we did not really have access to books other than our own library. POPULAR wasnt as popular yet.
Those were the days where Mr kiasu and TinTin comics were really really popular.

So back to the book fair. There was this primary 6 guy reading 'mr kiasu' in his rugged shirt in one corner. He looked like he wanted the book badly and that was really the case. He expressed how much he wanted that book but he had no money. So i lent him $8++ to buy it.Out of my OWN PRIVATE savings.
Hey Come on, $8 was a freaking big deal ok? BAck In those days where a bowl of noodles only costed 50cents. He agreed to repay me in 2weeks.

I didn't manage to see him for the next few weeks cos we were in different sessions. And when I finally did.Guessed what he replied when I asked for my money.

'who are you?' he replied in front of his frens.

I was awfully taken aback. Dumbfounded. Striken with fear and disappointment. HOw did this pitiful person turn into this villain I'm looking at right now? How could he said what he said? And of course I didn't manage to get my money back.

BAck in those days, scams were rampant. Security and safety were not taken for granted like today. Of course there were other conman cases that people around me encountered or I personally went thru to make me who I am today. It'd be a long paragraph if I have to tell you my life story, So let's not go there.

Sometimes, I wished people were like me. In terms of thinking, our moral values and behaviour. I figured that the world'd be a better place if it was only full of me. I could communicate better with myself and I know what I want. This world would be PERFECT. Yet I cant help but be afraid that theres a chance that I might be acting like a self-centred bastard, imposing my views and thinking on others. I then asked myself, Why should my character be the dominant one? What if someone else wants me to be like him? What if someone else thinks he's more superior and what if he really is? Should I be like him? I guessed the world wouldnt be as much fun if the whole world is only full of one person and clones of one person.
One world one person one character.

The truth is we do not live alone. We need to step out of our comfort zones at times.
The challenge is to go out there and handle people who is different from you.
To build bridges which link us to other people instead of high walls around us.
Which one will u build? Bridges or Walls?

Wait, Am I imposing my views on introverts to make frens?
