Wish you were here!

Finally back from Berkelah Falls (Pahang, Malaysia). It was an Sim Odac trekking session which was pretty much well paced. Well paced here means pretty relax haha. Iris and Dinesh were our OGL while OG1 consisted of Willaim, Keat yin, Elias, Yi an, Nat, me, Peiqi, Wanting, Wanshan, Regina. There were 3 OGs in total. I must say that I kinda like our OG. Which was filled with Interesting characters, evenly balanced with people equipped with different talents. We had this 'buddy system' and Peiqi was my trekking partner. =)

We set off at night on the 24th, to reach there in the morning around 7+. (Yes, a Long bus ride!) Upon arrival, We set off pretty quickly after pitching our tents and briefing conducted by Minglong. The OGs then took turns to 'lead the pack' up the summit. We followed the trails left behind by people in front, climbed the rocks on all fours, walked in the water, felt the ground/sand in the water, sliding from point to point with butts and all other kinds of trekking scenarios u could possibly think of. Oh ya, Peiqi and Regina were trekking with poor footwear, But they werent the least affected! And of course, People were clicking their cameras non stop, everywhere, anywhere. Same scenaries, same people, with different cameras. HAHAH! OG1 was quite cool(Except Elias cos he went to other OG to take pictures) Almost everyone brought cameras, but we werent as 'whore' as the rest.

Peiqi was quite a funny character, smiling and laughing non stop. She kinda acted as if she was walking on a tight rope in the beginning of the trek by balancing with her hands spread out at times. But she got used to the trek quickly when she improved her stability by lowering her CG instead of spreading her hands. Oh ya, and Peiqi is a quiet person. LOL

Regina was pretty tough, trekked fast and steady without any help most of the time despite her inappropriate footwear. Yi an was her partner. and boy, that guy could really talk! About anything and everything, anytime and anywhere! (Reminds me of yongsen from CCI).

Willaim was the trek's cameraman with his Nikon DSLR. Glad He didn't missed out any fun due to taking pictures for us while keat yin liked to pose for pictures, squatting on gigantic rocks.

We eventually trekked to a place high but safe enough. Somewhere we could leap off the edge and plunged into the clear water. Most of the people in the OG did the plunge (how brave is that!). We then bathe in that very same stream that night. (Yes, we bathe and brush our teeth from a stream!)
Speaking of bathing in a stream, shall let you all in to something. (you have to ask me about it!)

Spent the night in the Exco's tent with JiaJia, Iris, Lyn and Minglong. It was quite an enjoyable chat in the tent, practically talking about random stuff, like things from our childhood days, playing Fuzzy wazzy and other things.. Minglong got it pretty quickly. Lyn took a year plus since last year and until today, still haven got it.

JiaJia was also another funny character man. She could fell aslp, holding on to a torch, without switching it off! We bought some snacks together and it was pretty much a headache for me all thanks to her funny questions about the products! Whether it has expired, how many percentage of rock sugar in it, what if this, what if that. ARGH!! Headache!!!!

Last stop was at city square's 茶餐厅. And sure they have interesting Jars and Containers for their beverges! Definitely not the normal kind of glasses/cups/mugs you'd had expected. Odac activities/outing trips have always been fun, interesting and inspiring. This time was no different. A Picture speaks a thousand words. Shall upload them again when they send me the photos. Wished all of you could have been there with me!
