Keep left unless Overtaking!

Had lunch with Ziling, Shirleen, Herbert at coronation plaza after crashing lesson with bff. Well, the lunch topic was 'Are looks really important?'.What a coincidence! Coincides with my past entry! Well, its not on the top of my priority list definitely. Some of my past topics actually coincides with what my frens are thinking at the moment. (eg the heroes entry and huiwen, the Japanese story and Iris) I guessed I'm blogging about current issues huh? lol
MAKES ME FEEL SO YOUNG!!!~~~LOL

I missed crashing msm lesson today cos I was too tired for the morning lesson, plus the lecture was one chapter behind mine. So, no point crashing anyway =P. It started pouring around 11+ and I had to ask the car from my Dad so lazy me wouldnt had to take the train HAHAH!

Speaking of driving, Some drivers are really inconsiderate in the sense that they'd drive slowly on the overtaking lane(lane 1). Road hogging if you'd like to call it. It really pissed me. Why stay on the overtake lane when you're not overtaking?! It makes the 'Express' lane not any express anymore! I wonder if it's cos I'm so used to riding and overtaking that I'm not used to waiting anymore.

Even when I was riding, there were impatient drivers who'd dashed across the road so they could do a last minute turn, changed lane out of a sudden due to jams and worse still, without signalling! Come on! if you're that impatient, go ride a bike! Riding allows u to slip in and out of lanes, switch lane fast, have a headstart and overtake cars at traffic light. You could ride beside the driver, give him a stare before throttling off! Best still, you can feed your bike with Shell Vpower to full tank without paying more than $25! ( depends on the size of your tank of cos!).

Ok, back to the topic. Seriously, I'm not complaining cos I'm afraid u guys might knock into me( of cos I am!). But the thing is some of you may not realise the restrictions of riding a bike. When a car turns out to the main road suddenly, the ongoing motorbike may not have enough reaction time to brake in time. Bike is lighter and tend to drift further, Unlike a car, where u can stop as and when u want. An auto car uses engine brake most of the time, so the speed is controlled somehow. Manual bikes definitely needs to be accelerated in order to move. Therefore, the acceleration speed is there. Furthermore, when u cut into a bike's lane, causing it to slow down, it needs to build its speed all over again from a lower gear (Assume manual bike)Sometimes, even starting from gear 1 which can be quite frustrating!

Parking parallel has never been a problem for me as the area I live in has heaps of parallel parking lots. I can't possibly call my dad to come down to help me park whenever I finished using the car right? Therefore, I've mastered the techiniques and all the little tricks I need long ago. But I have one bad habit, that is I'd stopped, get off the car, check that the car is at a nice placing, orientated to the front, somewhere in the middle of the lot, not too out to the road before I head home. And I'd do this for several times until I'm satisfied! Weird huh!

Tips

For the drivers: you may wish to constantly check your rear mirror for the bikes as bikes appear beside you when u least expeced them. Bikes can speed right up to your bumper in seconds. One min you dont see them, the next min, they're there.

For bikers: Do not stay behind the car and overtake suddenly. Always stay at the place where the driver can see you from the side mirror before you overtake. This is for the driver to know that a motorcycle is around him. Unless he see the bike overtaking himself, he should be extremely careful meanwhile.. Definitely not at the blind spots

For car parking: allow enough space for the vehicle in front to leave. Give more room for vans and lorries, in the sense that park away from them but still in your lot as they may hit/scratch your car when twisting and turning in a constrained lot. Stick closer to Luxury cars as their drivers would definitely be more careful to prevent scratching or bumping their cars!
